Study shows increasing need for IT security consultants
Denver, CO (January 27, 2015) – According to a CNNMoney study, demand for Information Assurance Analysts and IT security consultants are projected to grow 37 percent between 2012 and 2022 making them the No. 1 and No. 2 fastest growing positions in the United States.
The findings show Information Assurance Analyst with a median pay of $96,400, and IT Security Consultant, with a median pay of $110,000. In determining the top 10 fastest growing jobs, CNNMoney looked at jobs from the 100 Best Jobs in America ranking with the highest 2012-2022 growth rate. The Best Jobs were picked by the following criteria: The level of stress a job entails, the difficulty of entering the field, the likelihood of moving up the ladder and the ability to telecommute. Information Assurance Analyst ranked No. 9 and IT Security Consultant ranked No. 38 on the 100 Best Jobs in America list.
